It is high time to say a few, very personal but extremely heartfelt words to Olga Esina’s Farewell to the stage…

It took me long enough to “digest this news”, but it feels right now.

My relationship with Olga Esina is a very special one. Since the day we met, we showed not only a strong sympathy to each other but, positively the deepest respect. And confidence. We met 15 or 16 years ago. With the passing of the years, we became friends. But not for a second did we forget that she is a prima ballerina working at the State Opera and I am a ballet critic writing about the State Opera. But it was never difficult. It came naturally to us.
