Steven Scheschareg-News:

Thank you for your continuing support and interest in my artistic activities.. These are the many operetta highlights coming up in the near future – opera and performances of modern music will follow shortly. Please stay healthy and happy – best wishes to you all!

After many cancellations and postponements, I will finally be presenting my Exil Operette Cabaret program in Vienna three times during the next few months. It explores the experiences of Viennese operetta composers such as Benatzky, Kalman, Abraham, Leopoldi, Spielmann and Korngold in the USA while they were forced to leave Austria before WW2. I am looking forward to presenting it in the new Volksoper Cafe for the first time too:
close to a live audience, and close to where I performed often.

May 20 – Karl Borromäus Saal, Amtshaus Landstraße, 1030 Wien

June 3 – Volksoper Cafe: Grand Cafe am Alsergrund, 1090 Wien

June 25 – Kultursalon Niederleis, Niederleis NÖ

To further strengthen the connections between Vienna and Tel Aviv, I will be joining many talented and entertaining artists in a concert celebrating the music of these two wonderful cities. With “Walzer, Csardas und Klezmer Melodien” we will be preparing for a trip to Israel in the fall and your support would be greatly appreciated.
Wednesday evening June 22nd in the Wiener Volksliedwerk, Bockkeller, 1160 Wien. Information: Wien – Tel Aviv

After concert performances in Bad Ischl and Baden, we will finally be presenting one of  Emmerich Kalman’s final and forgotten masterworks, the operetta “Kaiserin Josephine” in the Sommerarena in Baden bei Wien. Our CD recording and concerts have created a great interest in presenting this operetta in an opulent full stage production. Tickets are available for our premiere on July 29th as well as performances throughout August.
More Information under Kaiserin Josephine.

Please support our charity Global Family during these challenging times for the Ukraine and the families forced to leave their country – as my own family did years ago. Global Family has been providing support for refugees since the war began and for many deserving families for years. Your generosity would be greatly appreciated. Donations under Global Family.

After my successful production of “Jakob Lenz” von Wolfgang Rihm in Klagenfurt, stay tuned for more upcoming opera performances in Budapest, Innsbruck and Klagenfurt.
