Die Non Profit-Organisation „Mozarteum Hellas wurde im März 2019 gegründet und ist seit dem 17.6.2019 Mitglied der Internationalen Mozarteum-Stiftung Salzburg
Ziel ist die Förderung der Klassischen Musik insgesamt mit Hauptrichtung „Mozarts Werk in Griechenland“. Erreicht werden soll das Ziel durch Lektüre, Seminare, Konzerte, Workshops und vor allem auch der Förderung junger Talente.
Die jährliche Konferenz wurde am Montag, 15.2.2021 in digitaler Form mit Unterstützung der Österreichischen Botschaft in Athen organisiert, anwesend waren Ihre Exzellenz Botschafterin Mag. Hermine Popeller, Dr. Tobias Debuch (Kaufmännischer Geschäftsführer der Internationalen Stiftung Mozarteum) und Dr. Ulrich Leisinger (Direktor der Forschungsabteilung der Internationalen Stiftung Mozarteum)
Das Werk „94 Sekunden“ von W.A. Mozart wurde dabei erstmals präsentiert. Im nächsten Jahr will man live auf der Bühne feiern.
Auszug aus der Website: 2020 was a very challenging and difficult year for classical music, cultural activities as well as for everyone indeed. Despite the challenges Mozarteum Hellas participated just before the start of the pandemic in the 2020 Mozart Week and the annual working session of the Mozart com-munities.On Monday 27 January 2020, the day of birth of Mozart, the First Annual General Meeting of Mozarteum Hellas was held during which the Board of Directors was elected. During 2020 we organised two concerts for our members. one during the Annual General Meeting and the other one on the 13 of July the Mozarte-um Hellas summer concert. Unfortunately due to the lockdown we couldn’t organize any other event with physical presence. Finally, in November Mozarteum Hellas participated in the virtual Mozarttag.We are planning and we have started working on a number of events for 2021. On Monday 15 February 2021 we will host the first event of the year, i.e. our AGM & Conference. Due to COVID-19, unfortunately, the first events of this year will take place virtually. We are pleased, though, to invite you to our virtual event. We will send all our members the invitation, the detailed programme, the Zoom link in order to at-tend. The 2021 Mozarteum Hellas AGM & Conference is under the auspices of the Austrian Embassy in Athens and Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation.
In the event we will have the honour to receive a welcome address by the Ambassador of Austria in Ath-ens, HE Hermine Poppeller. Dr Tobias Debuch, CEO of Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation will deliver the keynote address and of Dr Ulrich Leisinger, Head of Research Department will make the presentation of the new Mozart piece “94 seconds”, a reconstructed work that made the world premiere in the digital Mozart week on Wednesday 27 January 2021.
