“Lucia di Lammermoor” in Johannesburg am 25. Juli 2024

 Nachdem schon die Auffuehrungen in Kapstadt im Juni erstklassig waren , wurde diese Produktion  vom 25. bis 27.Juli  in Johannesburg, im Nelson Mandela Theater  wiederholt.

Ihr Endesgefertigter darf auf  seine Besprechung vom Juni verweisen; mit folgenden Aenderungen.

• Der Ortsverweis ist Johannesburg, Nelson Mandela Theater.
• Die Alisa war Julia Portela Pinon, die ebenfalls vielversprechend gesungen und gespielt hat.
• Es spielte das Philharmonische Orchester Johannesburg.
• Dirigent war Daniel Keet.
• Durch die etwas kleinere Buehne kam das Buehnenbild sogar besser zur Geltung.
• Kein niederkrachender, in Wirklichkeit aus Sicherheitsgruenden ganz langsam niedergelassener Dachbalken am Beginn  des 3. Aktes.Danke fuer diese Aenderung. 
• Das Bueffet der Hochzeitsfeier im 3.Akt wirkte erdiger. Dankeschoen!
• Last, but not least: Brittany Smith war sogar noch besser in Form als im Juni. Himmlisch ! Cielissima!

“Lucia di Lammermoor “in Johannesburg on the 25^th of July 2024

As  the performances in Cape Town in June had been first class, this production was repeated  from 25^th to 27^th of July in Johannesburg in the Nelson Mandela theatre.

Yours  truly may refer to his review from June with the following changes:

• The location is Johannesburg, Nelson Mandela theatre.
• Alisa was performed by  Julia Portela Pinon, who also did sing and play in a very promising way.
• The orchestra was the Philharmonic orchester of Johannesburg.
• Daniel Keet was the conductor.
• Due to the smaller size of the stage the design of the stage even looked better.
• No forcefully, in reality for security reasons only very slowly coming down roof-beam at the beginning of the 3rd act. Thank you for this change!
• The buffet in the wedding celebration scene in the 3^rd act appeared more earthy.Thank you!
• Last, but not least: Brittany Smith was even in better shape than in June. Heavenly. Cielissima!
